| Born in Oregon, as a fourth generation Oregonian I grew up in a little town called Albany. After graduation from High School, I attended one year at San Jose City College and finished my college education at Oregon State University. I worked my way through college by working in Alaska.

| When I was out of college I went to Alaska to build a grub-steak and went into business at the age of 26. By the age of 30 I owned three businesses. When I was 33 years old I was asked to run for public office. I did and was elected twice to a three-year term as a borough assemblyman. I was chosen, as vice mayor, by my colleagues my second term. After 13 years I sold my businesses and focused on running for the Alaska State House. However, my life changed.

| Since my early teens I have had a deep interest in the mind, metaphysics and the meaning religion might have for my life. Seeking to know who and what I am, I acquired a great deal of knowledge of these matters. At the age of 39 my journey of discovery was modified, as I began to experience my truth instead of just knowing the fine words about it. |
